Upon receiving your product design, production demand/ project cycle demands, MASIX gonna provide you a suitable tooling solution which start from tooling material, fabrication method, standard elements and detecting sensors. Stamping tooling is completely finished in-house from design to fabrication, assembly and trails.

Die plate: Punch plate, die plate & stripper plate use SKD11/D2/M2 material with cryogenic treatment.

Inserts: Precision Blanking punch & die use carbide material like KD20/VD45

Stamping tooling’s process can be tracked per internal SOP (formulated & revised according to customer requirements and international practices).

Continuously training procedure conducted to individual workers, from stamping production, tooling maker, maintenance to tooling assembly.

1. Can you make the tooling based on our standard?

Yes, we can follow your tooling standard. Please share the details with us, and our engineers will design the tooling according to your specifications.

2. Do you have an in-house tool room?

Yes, we have our own tool room, fully equipped to meet fabrication demands. The entire process is strictly controlled to ensure quality.

3. How can we confirm the tooling design?

Once the order is confirmed, we will provide the strip layout design for your initial approval. Afterward, we move to the tooling assembly design. Once that is approved, we provide the complete tooling design for final confirmation. Once everything is approved, we release it for fabrication.

4. How can you maintain the tooling schedule?

We handle each tooling project as a dedicated project. A project manager (PM) controls the process, along with a nominated engineer and tooling maker. They work together as a team until the tooling is transferred. Additionally, every Friday, we update the tooling status, ensuring that every process is controlled. The tooling lead time is also connected to the team members’ KPIs.

5. Does the tooling match the design?

Yes, the tooling matches the design. Before transfer, we check the entire tooling and revise the drawings to make sure any modifications made during die trials are reflected.

6. How do you pack the tooling?

The tooling is securely packed in plywood boxes and fixed inside. We can provide our tooling packing SOP for your review. All tooling shipped overseas is properly packed without any issues.

7. Can you support pilot production?

Yes, we can arrange pilot production based on your request. The pilot production quality is controlled per MASIX process management standards, and inspection reports can be provided as well.
